LEARN TO SWIM

Hi there, I’m Danny and I am offering one to one swimming lessons at a reasonable rate. I am also fully qualified to teach First Aid and run bespoke courses tailored to your needs at a venue of your choice. I would also be happy to chat with you about running lifeguard courses at your centre. I am married with four children and presently living in Radlett Hertfordshire.

I have over 25years experience as a qualified swimming teacher with the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) and the Swimming Teachers’ Association (STA). I have run swimming classes at my own school of swimming at Mill Hill Boys School and have run one-two-one lessons at the Hilton Hotel, Wembley. Additionally I have taught at Aspire, Stanmore, Harrow Leisure Centre, Harrow School and Queen Elizabeth School for Girls in Barnet.

Currently I am teaching swimming classes and one-two-one lessons at Canons Sports Centre, North London Collegiate School, Edgware. Here I teach children ranging from 4yrs to 16yrs through the ASA certificate awards schemes at all levels from Duckling to Personal Survival. Last year I also taught children and adult intensive classes during half term.

I am qualified as a Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS) Trainer Assessor, and I regularly run lifeguard training at Canons Sports Centre, and Mill Hill Boys School. Last year I ran a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) 6 day course with a 100% pass rate.

Initially I qualified with the Swimming Teachers’ Association as a First Aid at Work instructor, Trainer Examiner and I now regularly teach Emergency Life Support courses. I am available to run bespoke First aid courses with HSE accreditation so give me a call and we can have a chat about your own requirements.

I really don't understand why a lifeguard things that they can leave the poolside for even a moment. Today the lifeguard was not there on 3 seperate occassions. Once for over 30 seconds. I really despair.FrownFrownFrown

by Danny 2. May 2011 10:47

SmileWink

Last night at Canons we had lifeguard training. 9 staff turned up and after a 12 length warm up we moved onto tows with rescue equipment and then onto scenarios. Lucy you really stole the evening. All present will know why. Andy you definately have some acting roles ahead of you.

Guys remember if you suspect a spinal injury, immediately take hold of the head. See you all on the 15th May for defib training.

Blow bubbles when your face is in the water. This prevents you from swallowing it in. Danny
